Another bantamweight bout has been added to the ACA 206 fight card. On August 15 at CSKA Arena in Moscow, Tajikistan’s Osimkhon Rakhmonov will share the cage with Slovakia’s Tomáš Deák.
For Rakhmonov, the matchup is an opportunity to return to winning ways after dropping a split decision to Renat Ondar at ACA 202. Before that setback, the Tajik fighter had won three consecutive bouts, defeating Goga Shamatava, Walter Pereira and Charles Henrique. Rakhmonov owns 16 professional victories, with 10 of them coming inside the distance.
Deák enters the event in strong form. Over the past year, he has earned two ACA victories, defeating Rasul Albaskhanov and Ayk Kazaryan. The Slovak veteran has competed in more than 40 professional bouts and holds 25 career wins. Seventeen of those victories have come by stoppage, making him one of the division’s most experienced and dangerous competitors.
Both fighters have already made their mark in ACA, and the upcoming bout will be an important step in the battle for a place among the leading contenders in the bantamweight division. A victory in Moscow would allow the winner to significantly strengthen his position.
