Russian lightweight Vadim Ogar is set to take on former Bellator champion Brent Primus at ACA 207, which takes place on September 12 in Krasnodar.
The bout represents one of the biggest opportunities of Ogar’s career. The Russian owns a professional record of 10-7, with six submission victories, and has established himself as a dangerous grappler. Before dropping a unanimous decision to Zaur Gadzhiev at ACA 199, Ogar had put together a four-fight winning streak, finishing three of those opponents in the opening round.
Primus will make his second appearance under the ACA banner. The former Bellator lightweight champion made his promotional debut at ACA 202, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Pavel Gordeev. The American now returns looking to earn his first ACA victory and re-enter the title conversation.
A veteran of the highest level of competition, Primus captured the Bellator lightweight championship with a victory over Michael Chandler. Throughout his career, he has also shared the cage with elite opponents such as Usman Nurmagomedov, Alexander Shabliy and Benson Henderson. Primus owns 16 professional victories, 11 of them coming by finish.
For Ogar, a win over a former Bellator world champion would be the biggest victory of his career, while Primus aims to bounce back and make his mark in the ACA lightweight division.
