Former ACB bantamweight champion, Magomed “Tiger” Magomedov, is scheduled to fight at ACB 90 in Moscow against Walter Pereira. Magomed spoke about his upcoming fight, his feelings about rescheduling of the bout and more
“I’m feeling great. I started to prepare this week. Now I’m in USA and I’m planning to stay here the whole training camp and then go to Russia to acclimatize and fight. I’m training under Mark Henry and Ricardo Almeida, sparring with Frankie Edgar, Marlon Moraes and Gasan Magomedsharipov, he’s Zabit’s young brother. The training is deferent from ours, here we’re working a lot on technique. You’ll see how much I improve in that aspect.
I was scheduled to fight Walter in January, then it was rescheduled for Kazan card this summer. So this is a third time. As they say: it’s for the best. The long lay offs is never a good thing, and it’s not the first time for me. I’m just glad to get back in the cage.
I’ve fought in Moscow many times before and I’m excited to get back there and show what I’m capable of. The atmosphere there is different, there will be a lot of people, my friends and brothers who will come to support me.
