#5 ranked middleweight is scheduled to fight at ACB 90 in Moscow. On November 10th he’ll face the Korean fighter, Jae Young Kim. Gamzat has spoken about this upcoming fight, long lay off and title ambitions.
- How does such a long lay off affect you?
Yes, it has been a pretty long lay off for me. I was preparing to compete at the European championships in combat sambo, but ACB offered me a fight so I couldn’t compete there. Then the fight got cancelled and the lay off prolonged. It’s not a big deal, I’m ready to make up for the lost time.
- You’ll be going up against Jae Young Kim. Give us your thoughts on him?
He’s the same as my previous opponents. So I’m planning on going in there and knocking him out. I want that belt. I don’t care who holds it at the time I’ll get to it. I’m ready to face anyone for it, as ACB belt is really important for me.
- Speaking of the ACB belt, what are your title ambitions right now?
As I’ve just said, I want to get that belt. I will get it, it’s just a matter of time but right now I’m focused on my next fight, then we’ll see how things will play out.
