Press release

On September 17 the spectacular and rich in finishes ACB 45 tournament took place in St. Petersburg. Only 2 fights lasted till decision. That night the league fighters were clearly set to fight in stand-up, for 8 of the 12 bouts ended by devastating knockouts. Also two wins were a result of painful holds or chokes - Filip Macek did a skillful leg lock and one of the strongest grapplers of the league Murad Kalamov pleased the audience with the Flying Triangle choke .

Ustarmagomed Gadzhidaudov became the main winner of the night as he scored one of the biggest upsets in the history of Russian MMA knocking out Alexander Sarnavsky in the second round. This victory allowed him to fly up in the fightmatrix rankings by more than 400 positions, and it significantly increased his chances to fight for the title in the foreseeable future. In the co-main event of the tournament we saw an interesting confrontation between two top bantamweight fighters - Oleg Borisov and Tural Ragimov. The fight certainly became a decoration of the night, but there was no stubborn struggle. Borisov confidently dominated for a round and a half, and then knocked his opponent out cold.

The owner of a champion belt Zabit Magomedsharipov defended his title easily in a fight against Brazilian Valdines Silva by knocking him out in the first round. Despite the fact that the tournament was a bit overshadowed by the cancellation of the main fight of the night Duraev vs Kinсl, the event flew by in one breath and impressed the local audience. The ACB League will soon return to the Northern Capital with the jubilee ACB 50 tournament.
