On September 12, ACA will host a major event in Krasnodar. The main event of ACA 207 at Basket Hall Arena will feature former ACA champion Evgeny Goncharov against former UFC top-10 heavyweight Jailton Almeida.
Krasnodar holds a special place in Goncharov’s career. It was at Basket Hall that he captured the ACA heavyweight title twice, defeating Tony Johnson in 2019 and Alikhan Vakhaev in 2023. The Russian heavyweight currently holds a 23-3 professional record and is riding an eight-fight winning streak. In June, Goncharov returned from a lengthy layoff and earned a unanimous decision victory over Khadis Ibragimov.
The bout will mark Almeida’s ACA debut. The Brazilian fought 11 times in the UFC, winning eight of those contests and establishing himself as one of the promotion’s top heavyweights. His résumé includes victories over Derrick Lewis, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Alexander Romanov and Serghei Spivac.
Almeida brings a 22-5 professional record into the fight, with 21 of his 22 victories coming inside the distance, including 13 by submission. Goncharov will be facing one of the most dangerous and accomplished grapplers in the heavyweight division.
The main event of ACA 207 will see a former ACA champion and Grand Prix winner take on a recent UFC top-10 contender.
The ACA 207 fight card will also feature a host of the promotion’s biggest stars, with additional bouts to be announced in the coming weeks.
ACA 207 takes place on September 12 at Basket Hall Arena in Krasnodar. Stay tuned for more fight announcements and card updates. Tickets are now available on the official ACA website.
