22 years old ACB heavyweight title contender Sergey Bilostenniy has spoken about his fight against Mukhumat Vakhaev at ACB 90 in Moscow:
- Your opponent has changed and now you’re fighting a champion, how does that affect your preparation?
Yeah, we’ve already adjusted to the change. Now I’m focusing more on wrestling but nothing drastic. I’m not going to schedule a wrestling training camp because of the fight, I’ll just work a bit more on that aspect.
- What was your reaction when ACB offers you this fight?
I was happy but calm because I expected that I would get this offer when Aliakbari came out. Firstly I thought it could possibly happen and then ACB’s production team told me I should be ready if anything. I’m excited and I know we were destined for this. One way or another this fight will change our lives.
I think Mukhumat is getting better at striking and he’s becoming stronger. He’s always been a great wrestler and now he’s confident on his feet. It’s always great to see a champion evolving.
Anyway, we’re both training hard for the fight and we have plenty of time left. We’ll do everything in our power and destiny will make the call.
